Contract Conservation Ranger

The Bream Head Conservation Trust is looking for an enthusiastic and physically fit person to join their team as the second contractor to help look after this iconic piece of Northland. Please consider the following parameters and get back to us promptly, we would love to hear from you.

The key characteristics that the Trust requires of the contract ranger (but not limited to) are:
● The successful person is expected to be an extremely clear, timely and precise communicator.
● The ideal person will also need to have a very high level of fitness and be bush tough/savvy with the capability to work safely and independently in a rugged off-track, back-country environment.
● Experience in predator control and species management would be ideal, as well as the capability to supervise volunteers.
● Competency with GIS/GPS mapping and good general administrative skills are required also.
